Brahma aims to simplify the interaction with DeFi primitives through easy to invest vaults, which leverage composability with multiple protocols to deliver superior risk-adjusted yield to users.

We are looking for a talented Quantitative Researcher to join us in building best-in-class DeFi trading systems. The ideal candidate will pair a strong data background and with a balance of technical rigor with execution. You should be excited about learning new DeFi primitives and making sense of them via data. Knowledge of building trading systems is preferred.

This role is remote, please share your Github profile and details of previous projects worked on (both commercial and personal).

Job requirements

Responsibilities

  • Exploring payoff structure and risk of new primitives and mapping them mathematically
  • Design, and manage risk of a portfolio of strategies that capture inefficiencies across multiple DeFi protocols
  • Simulate, code and test portfolio allocation strategies 

Qualifications

  • You have a background in relevant fields such as applied mathematics, physics, machine learning, statistics or engineering
  • You have worked on trading strategies from idea to production
  • Experience working with python data science stack
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, research-oriented team with several ongoing concurrent projects
  • You look forward to working with an interdisciplinary team that longs to find solutions together.

The number of years of experience does not matter as long as you have built complex projects from scratch, a burning desire to learn more, constantly improve yourself, and solve tricky problems on a daily basis. We're a small team so you can assure yourself that whatever you contribute - in terms of an engineer, or otherwise - is always heard and discussed.


Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Ethereum or other EVM-based chains
  • Previous hands on work in Risk and Portfolio Management
  • Hands on Quantitative Trading experience in crypto
